Shiastu
Shiatsu practitioners use their fingers, thumbs, palms, and sometimes elbows or knees to apply pressure along the meridians, or energy channels, of the body. The goal is to balance the circulation of vital energy and restore harmony in the body. Shiatsu sessions typically involve the application of rhythmic pressure at various points along the meridians, along with stretching exercises and other therapeutic techniques to relieve tension and promote relaxation. Unlike acupuncture, which focuses on inserting needles into specific points, Shiatsu relies solely on pressure and touch.
